IV911 Memorial Stair Climb Opens Early Registration and Seeks Sponsors

The Imperial City Council meeting on July 16, 2025, highlighted preparations for the upcoming Imperial Valley 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb event. Early registration for participants is now open at a fee of $25 until August 22, with on-site registration available for $35 on the day of the event, scheduled for 6 PM. Participants who register early will receive event t-shirts.

The council discussed sponsorship opportunities for the event, which are available in four levels, each symbolizing significant aspects of the September 11 attacks. These levels include $3.43 for firefighters, $4.13 for total personnel, and the year 2001. Each sponsorship level offers varying degrees of recognition, advertising, and invitations to a sponsorship dinner.

Vendors interested in participating can register at no cost but are required to donate 10% of their earnings during the event to support the Imperial Valley 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. Proceeds from the event will fund charitable assistance and scholarship opportunities through the 501(c)(3) organization associated with the climb.
