Speedway Prepares for Brickyard Weekend with Parade and Movie Events

Speedway residents and visitors can look forward to an action-packed Brickyard Weekend, kicking off on Thursday, July 24, with a series of exciting events designed to celebrate the community and motorsports culture.

The festivities will begin with the IMS Hauler Parade on Main Street, where NASCAR haulers will be on display from 5 PM to 7 PM. Fans will have the opportunity to meet several NASCAR Cup Series drivers, including Tyler Reddick and Todd Gilliland, who will be signing autographs and participating in a Q&A session. The event promises to be lively, featuring food vendors and various activities, making it a perfect outing for families and racing enthusiasts alike.

On Friday, July 25, the community will gather again for a special screening of the Disney Pixar film "Cars" as part of the Movie on Main Street series. Sponsored by Barbecue and Bourbon, the event will start at 9 PM, with live music from local artist Dean Kavy beginning at 7:30 PM. This family-friendly event aims to bring the community together for a night of entertainment and fun.

The weekend will conclude on Saturday, July 26, with a live music event on the plaza featuring a blend of rock, folk, and country music. The performance, starting at 6 PM and ending at 9 PM, is free to the public, thanks to local sponsors Sunbury Boutique and Speedway's Body Beautiful and Lush Spa. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, snacks, and drinks to enjoy the evening.
