Board Approves Otis Elevator Contract for IAA Maintenance at $7.75M

In addition to the maintenance contract, the board discussed amendments related to the construction of airfield maintenance buildings at various regional airports. The board approved three amendments with Wolpert for construction projects at the Indianapolis Regional Airport, Eagle Creek Air Park, and Indianapolis Metropolitan Airport, with total amounts not exceeding $40,910.50, $39,715, and $38,637, respectively. These amendments are part of ongoing efforts to enhance airport facilities, although the board noted that bids for these projects have been higher than anticipated. As a result, the construction timelines may be adjusted, with plans to hold off on actual construction until a more favorable economic climate or potential stimulus funding becomes available.

The meeting concluded with a unanimous vote on all agenda items, reflecting the board's commitment to maintaining and improving airport operations while being mindful of budgetary constraints.
