The RSU 40 Board Meeting on July 21, 2025, showcased a series of significant decisions impacting local education, including the approval of new teaching staff and curriculum changes.

In a unanimous vote, the board welcomed three new educators to the district, with each expressing enthusiasm for their roles. Lauren Mabe, one of the new hires, shared her excitement about serving the students and community, while Justin, another new teacher, highlighted the importance of foundational skills in early education. He emphasized making music accessible to all students, likening the learning process to language acquisition. Morgan, the third new teacher, also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with students at Medomak Valley High School.
