Hammond City Council Reviews Self Storage Facility Plan by Storage Development LLC

The Hammond Redevelopment Commission convened on July 22, 2025, to discuss several key developments aimed at enhancing the city’s infrastructure and economic landscape. Yaney addressed concerns regarding traffic, noting that the facility would not generate significant traffic, with an estimated average of 3 to 10 vehicle trips per day.

Commission members engaged in discussions about the facility's design and operational features, including security measures and the potential for accommodating various types of recreational vehicles. The proposal aligns with the objectives of the North Hammond redevelopment plan, and Yaney expressed confidence in the project's benefits to the community.
