Pittsburgh Hosts World Beard and Mustache Championship in 2025 With Over 400 Competitors

Pittsburgh City Council has officially designated July 3-5, 2025, as the World Beard and Mustache Championship weekend, a decision celebrated for its potential to boost local tourism and community engagement. The announcement was made during the council's regular meeting on July 1, 2025, where city officials expressed excitement about hosting this unique international event.

The championship, organized by the Pennsylvania chapter of Mad Viking Beard, will attract competitors and spectators from around the globe, showcasing over two dozen categories of facial hair artistry. With nearly 400 registered competitors from 14 countries, the event is expected to draw more than 2,000 visitors to Pittsburgh, promising a vibrant atmosphere filled with creativity and camaraderie.
