City Council Reviews ADA Improvements for Penny Klein Firefighters Memorial Park

The City of Middleton Parks Recreation and Forestry Commission convened on July 21, 2025, to discuss significant improvements to local parks, focusing on ADA accessibility enhancements at Penny Klein and Firefighters Memorial Park.

Katie McDonald from Parkitecture presented the proposed designs for the improvements, which were commissioned earlier this year. The project targets three key areas: the soccer stadium, Firefighters Memorial Park (also known as Bergey Field), and the Adler baseball field, along with eight soccer fields at Penny Klein Park.

During the meeting, the commission reviewed the projected costs and designs for each area, seeking input on the timeline and budget for the improvements. Members were encouraged to prioritize which projects should be tackled first, ensuring that the allocated funds for 2025 are effectively utilized.
