Lebanon City Partners With Community Health Council to Address Housing Insecurity

Lebanon City is taking significant steps to combat housing insecurity by establishing a dedicated housing position in partnership with local organizations. During the Pre-Council Meeting on July 24, 2025, city officials announced their collaboration with the Community Health Council of Lebanon County and Lebanon County Christian Ministries to enhance housing strategies throughout the city and county.

Nikki Mower Gray, the executive director of the Community Health Council, highlighted the importance of this initiative, which is supported by a substantial grant of $750,000 from WellSpan Health. This funding will be allocated over the next three years to address pressing housing needs in Lebanon County. While the Community Health Council plays a vital role in this effort, Lebanon County Christian Ministries will serve as the fiduciary for the grant.

The newly created housing position aims to strengthen existing strategies and develop new solutions to improve housing access for residents facing insecurity. This initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the community by providing targeted support and resources.
