Wilson Park Hosts July Concerts and Outdoor Activities for Families

Exciting summer events are heating up in Fayetteville, with a packed schedule of activities at local parks. The Parks, Natural Resources and Cultural Affairs Advisory Board meeting on July 7 highlighted a series of fun-filled events designed to engage the community throughout the month.

Kicking off the festivities, residents can enjoy a wall camp at Wilson Park on July 10, followed by a concert featuring Rochelle Bradshaw and Hypnotion. The fun continues with a movie night on July 11, where families can gather at Walker Park to watch "Shrek."

The schedule also includes an Outdoor Adventure Camp at Lake Bayville from July 14 to 17, and a Tennis Camp at Wilson Park from July 14 to 17. Community engagement is further encouraged with the Community Forester training sessions at the public library on July 15 and 19, focusing on tree care and environmental stewardship.

Concerts are a highlight of the month, with the Dandelion Arts Play concert on July 17 and the Billy Park concert series featuring the King Cabbage Brass Band on July 24. Movie nights will also take place, including a dive-in movie screening of the "Minecraft" movie on July 18 and "National Treasure" at Lewis Park on July 25.

As summer activities ramp up, the community is reminded that the last day for YRCD camps is July 25, marking a swift end to the season. With a variety of events planned, Fayetteville residents have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and connect with their neighbors.
