Library Offers Summer Activities Including AI Classes and Book Memorial Program

The Frisco City Council convened on June 3, 2025, to discuss various community initiatives and updates, with a focus on summer activities and library programs.

The meeting began with a presentation from the library representative, who highlighted the range of summer activities available for all age groups. These include movie nights on Fridays, Monday mind stretchers, and various clubs and classes for teens and adults. In response to a council member's inquiry, the library representative confirmed that the library will maintain its regular hours of operation, open 72 hours a week: Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 9 PM, and Friday through Sunday from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Additionally, the library's foundation introduced a memorial book program, allowing individuals to donate books in honor of someone special. Two types of memorials are available: one-time memorials for $25 and lifetime memorials for $500. The latter includes a book placed in the name of the honoree, with the donor's name inscribed inside. This initiative aims to celebrate individuals who have made a significant impact in the community.
