Abiding Savior Lutheran Church Celebrates 59 Years at Lake Forest Fourth of July Parade

The Lake Forest City Council meeting on July 25, 2025, highlighted the upcoming July 4th Parade, showcasing community participation and local organizations. The parade will feature various entries, including the Abiding Savior Lutheran Church and School, which is celebrating 59 years of service in Lake Forest. Their float aims to communicate Christ's love across generations, with church members and students participating in the festivities.

Another notable entry is the Lake Forest Dolphin Swim Club, a competitive summer swim team that has been active for over 30 years. The club's coach, who has more than 20 years of experience, emphasizes individual success and stroke development among team members.

Councilman Robert Pequeno, who has lived in Lake Forest for 35 years, expressed gratitude to the community for their support and wished everyone a safe and prosperous Fourth of July. He was joined by his wife, Angela, and their sons, Robbie and Jimmy. The councilman also acknowledged the residents of Freedom Village, an active life-planned community in Lake Forest for over 37 years, celebrating their vibrant lifestyle.
