Maggie Livingston reflects on year as Larimer County Fair and Rodeo Queen

Larimer County Fair and Rodeo Queen Maggie Livingston shared her experiences and upcoming events during the Administrative Matters Meeting on July 29, 2025. As the reigning queen, Maggie has spent the past year promoting agricultural education and the rodeo community, engaging in various events across the state.

Maggie, a sophomore at Colorado State University studying agricultural education, expressed her gratitude for the support she has received throughout her reign. She highlighted her commitment to advocating for 4-H members and PRCA cowboys and cowgirls, as well as her involvement in community events, including the recent Larimer County Fair and Rodeo Parade.

One of the key highlights of her year is the upcoming Queen's Barbecue, scheduled for Thursday evening. This event aims to celebrate her accomplishments and those of her supporters, with proceeds going towards her educational scholarship. The barbecue will feature a Hawaiian T-shirt contest and is expected to foster community connections.

During the meeting, Maggie also discussed her role at the fairgrounds, where she will participate in various activities, including sensory day and the rodeo, where she will carry flags and meet attendees. She will be joined by her lady-in-waiting, Addison Gregory, and other visiting royalty.

Commissioners praised Maggie for her dedication and leadership, noting her impact on the community and her potential as a future educator. The meeting concluded with appreciation for Maggie's contributions and a photo opportunity to commemorate her service as the county's ambassador.
