Bell Works Chicagoland Breaks Ground on West Side Development and Opens Bell Market Cafe

Under the bright lights of Bell Works Chicagoland, excitement filled the air as community leaders gathered for a groundbreaking ceremony marking the development of the West side of the campus. This event also celebrated the opening of the Bell Market Cafe, a new addition to the vibrant space that has been revitalized over the years.

Mayor of Hoffman Estates, who spoke at the ceremony, expressed gratitude towards Somerset and Ralph Zucker for their vision and commitment to transforming the former AT&T Ameritech building into a thriving mixed-use environment. "This is an amazingly beautiful building," the mayor remarked, highlighting the successful renovations that have taken place since the building's original construction over 30 years ago.

Ralph Zucker, a key figure in the project, shared his enthusiasm for the West side development, which he referred to as the "West Side story." He noted that the East side of the campus is nearly fully leased, demonstrating the demand for innovative workspaces. "If you provide a great place, an inspired place for people to work, they will come," he stated, emphasizing the positive impact of the project on the local economy.

The plans for the West side include not only office spaces but also housing developments, which Zucker believes will create a downtown atmosphere that Hoffman Estates has long needed. "We're excited to start the demolition, which has already begun, and soon we will start moving in people," he said, hinting at the bustling community that is set to emerge.
