Baltimore City Officials Discuss Harm Reduction Strategies and Treatment Access

Kerr detailed the city's eight authorized syringe service programs, which distribute essential supplies to reduce the transmission of diseases like HIV and Hepatitis C. She emphasized that participants in these programs are significantly more likely to enter drug treatment and cease drug use, illustrating the effectiveness of harm reduction strategies.
