Needham Town Launches User-Friendly WebGIS for Interactive Mapping and Property Search

The Town of Needham, Massachusetts, recently held a meeting to introduce its updated WebGIS application, aimed at enhancing public access to geographic information. The session provided a comprehensive overview of the platform's features and functionalities, designed to assist residents in navigating local resources effectively.

The presentation began with a tutorial on basic navigation tools, including zooming in and out, panning across the map, and utilizing the "Find My Location" feature, which leverages mobile device capabilities. Users can easily return to the default town-wide view and access rudimentary scales for both imperial and metric units.

A key highlight was the search functionality, allowing users to input addresses or location names to quickly find specific properties.
