Little Troopers shares summer updates and announces upcoming Dallas conference participation

Perryton ISD is gearing up for an exciting school year, with significant updates shared during the recent Board of Trustees meeting held on July 28, 2025. A highlight of the meeting was the announcement of a conference in Dallas that will see four teachers from the district attending, funded largely through the Texas Rising Star certification. This opportunity aims to enhance the educational experience for students by equipping teachers with new knowledge and skills.

Valerie, a representative from Little Troopers, provided insights into the summer activities that have taken place, emphasizing the importance of having a second building to better serve the diverse age groups in their care. The collaboration with local authorities, including the police department, was also acknowledged, particularly for their support during community events like the swimming day at Leatherman Park.

Athletic programs are set to kick off soon, with cross country, football, golf, and volleyball all preparing for their seasons. The first cross country meet is scheduled for August 9 in the Plano area, with practices already underway. The community is invited to participate in upcoming events, including the Ragin Rally on August 7 and a Midnight Madness football event on August 8, which promises to energize the school spirit ahead of the new season.
