Wilder Provisions seeks brewpub license amid strong community support in Boulder

Boulder City’s Beverage Licensing Authority meeting on August 2, 2025, highlighted significant community support for a new brewpub license, paving the way for the establishment of Wild Provisions as the first brewpub in the area. A survey conducted in late June and early July revealed overwhelming backing from local business owners and residents, with 98% of 120 signatures collected in favor of the license.

The survey reached out to 418 individuals, yielding 50 signatures from business owners and managers, and 70 from residents. The results indicated a strong desire for a brewpub, with only four individuals opposing the initiative. The absence of similar establishments in the vicinity further underscores the community's need for this type of venue.

Wild Provisions, currently operating as a brewery since April 2020, aims to expand its offerings by converting to a brewpub model. This transition will allow the establishment to serve a wider range of beverages, including a limited selection of wines and spirits, alongside its existing beer offerings. The brewery has already incorporated a food truck into its operations, providing a menu that includes Detroit-style pizzas and salads, which has contributed to 30% of its sales.

The CEO of Forenbee Holdings, the parent company of Wild Provisions, emphasized the importance of this conversion to attract larger groups and enhance customer satisfaction. The proposed changes are expected to maintain a focus on responsible service, with rigorous ID-checking procedures and staff training to prevent underage drinking.

The authority's discussions also touched on operational aspects, including the brewery's current hours of operation and plans for future expansion. While the brewpub license would not significantly alter these hours, it may allow for lunch service in the future.

As Boulder City moves forward with this initiative, the approval of the brewpub license is anticipated to enrich the local dining and social scene, fulfilling a clear community demand for diverse beverage options and dining experiences.
