Orland Park Celebrates Success of Taste of Orland with Community Appreciation

The Village of Orland Park celebrated a successful Taste of Orland event, with officials praising the collaborative efforts that made it possible. During the recent Board of Trustees meeting, community leaders expressed gratitude to public works, the recreation department, volunteers, and police officers for their hard work and dedication.

Mayor Cindy said, “A fun time was had by all,” highlighting the outstanding entertainment and the safety provided by Chief Eric Rossi and his team. Trustee Lawler echoed these sentiments, noting the perfect weather that contributed to the event's success and the absence of any issues.

Trustee Lawrence emphasized the importance of sponsors, thanking companies like Northwestern Medicine, Comcast, and Waste Management for their contributions, which allowed residents and visitors to enjoy the event for free. The collaborative spirit and community involvement were evident, creating a vibrant atmosphere that attendees appreciated.

Looking ahead, the village is gearing up for the upcoming Night Out Against Crime, set to take place in the same location as the Taste of Orland. This event promises engaging exhibits and demonstrations, further fostering community spirit and safety awareness.
