Trustee Lawrence approves contracts for Centennial Park concert and Taste of Orland Park

Under the bright lights of the Village Hall, the Orland Park Board of Trustees convened on August 5, 2025, to discuss key developments that will shape community events in the coming months. Among the highlights was the approval of significant contract amendments aimed at enhancing the village's summer festivities.

Trustee Lawrence took the lead in proposing an addendum to the contract with Vantage Productions Group, which will provide essential equipment for the upcoming Centennial Park West Concert Series. The board unanimously approved a change order that increases the contract by $137,800, bringing the total to $4,804,100. This funding will support the rental of lifts necessary for sound and lighting rigging, ensuring that the concert series meets high production standards.

In another move to bolster community engagement, the trustees also approved a change order with Destructo Rental Company for the Taste of Orland Park event. This amendment will add $11,003.80 to the existing contract, raising the total to $33,576. The additional funds will cover the rental of tent weights, extra tents, lights, tables, and chairs, enhancing the overall experience for attendees.

The meeting also addressed the approval of a special event permit for Dean's Greens, allowing them to host up to four Saturday markets at Bully Farm starting August 9, 2025. This initiative aims to promote local produce and foster community interaction, contingent upon meeting all necessary village requirements.
