During the recent Florence Unified School District Board Meeting on August 13, 2025, significant recognition was given to outstanding staff members at Copper Basin Elementary. The board celebrated Tara Lentz as the Classified Staff Member of the Month for her exceptional behind-the-scenes efforts in preparing the campus for the new school year. Colleagues praised her dedication, noting that she consistently ensures everything runs smoothly for the benefit of the entire school community.

In addition, Christelle Bruno, an Academic Intervention Specialist and Instructional Coach, was honored as the Certified Staff Member of the Month. Her leadership in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) curriculum planning and intervention programming has been highlighted as crucial for student success. Staff members commended her professionalism and ability to manage multiple responsibilities while always prioritizing student needs.
