Santa Barbara enforces new alcohol sales ordinance limiting small bottle sales

The Santa Barbara City Council's Planning Commission meeting on August 14, 2025, highlighted significant developments in local alcohol sales regulations, particularly concerning the sale of small bottles of alcohol, often referred to as "airline bottles." Commissioner Peterson sought clarification on the restrictions regarding wine bottle sizes, specifically the prohibition of half bottles.
