Election Board Sets Early Voting Dates for November Municipal Election

Early voting for the upcoming November municipal election in DeKalb County is set to kick off on October 14, running through October 31. This decision was confirmed during the Board of Registration and Elections meeting, where officials outlined the proposed dates and times for early voting.

Voting will begin on a Tuesday, marking a shift from the traditional Monday start, as October 14 coincides with Indigenous Peoples' Day, a state holiday. The early voting hours will be consistent throughout the week, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Additionally, special hours are scheduled for Saturdays, October 18 and 25, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays will see voting from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

This early voting schedule aims to enhance accessibility for voters ahead of the municipal general special election, ensuring that residents have ample opportunity to cast their ballots. The Board emphasized the importance of these arrangements in facilitating voter participation in the upcoming election.
