Pima County Board Approves Funding for Early Education Program Scholarships

The Pima County Board of Supervisors convened on August 18, 2025, to discuss critical funding for the Pima Early Education Program Scholarships (PEAPS), a program aimed at providing preschool access to families in the county. The board is now looking at transitioning to a sustainable funding model through the library department, with a total of $30 million allocated since the program's inception.

However, county officials assured that both areas could be adequately funded without compromising each other.
