Sheriff's Office Achieves No Overtime for Jail Day Shift After Policy Changes

In a recent meeting of the Collin County Toll Road Authority, significant strides were reported in managing overtime and staffing within the county's detention facilities. The discussions highlighted a concerted effort to eliminate overtime, which is recognized as a costly method for achieving staffing goals. Officials noted a remarkable achievement: for the first time in decades, there was no overtime incurred during the day shift at the county jail over a four-day period.
