La Harbor Council Votes to Designate Rosa Espinosa as Voting Delegate for Conference

The City Council of La Habra has officially designated Rosa Espinosa as the voting delegate for the upcoming League of California Cities conference, set to take place in Long Beach from October 8 to 10. This decision was made during a recent council meeting, where members also nominated Darren Nexarian as the first alternate delegate. The council unanimously approved both nominations, ensuring La Habra will have representation at the conference.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that any resolutions drafted by the League will be presented to the council for consideration before the conference. This process allows the council to weigh in on important policy decisions that could impact the city.

In addition to the conference preparations, the council discussed upcoming community events, including the Lions Annual Corn Festival from August 22 to 24 at Portillo Park. The festival will feature a parade, rides, food vendors, and live entertainment, promising a fun-filled weekend for residents.

Councilmember Nexarian also highlighted the excitement surrounding the centennial celebration dinner, where 100 honorees will be recognized for their contributions to the community. He encouraged residents to attend the corn festival and take precautions against the heat during the event.
