Rockwall ISD Teachers Urge Community to Support Voter Approved Tax Rate Election

The Rockwall Independent School District (ISD) Board of Trustees meeting on August 18, 2025, focused heavily on the upcoming voter approval tax rate election (VADER), with several educators advocating for its passage. Ginny Holcomb, a government teacher and instructional coach, also spoke in favor of VADER, praising the district's recent achievements while acknowledging that teacher pay remains less competitive than necessary. She stressed the importance of retaining experienced teachers to ensure that students receive the quality education they deserve.
