McKinney ISD Council of PTAs outlines goals and achievements for 2025-2026

Under the bright lights of the McKinney ISD school board meeting, excitement filled the air as Angie Bato, the president of the McKinney ISD Council of PTAs, took the stage to share an inspiring overview of the organization’s recent achievements and future goals. She proudly noted that 31 students from McKinney ISD took part in the reflections art program, with nine advancing to state-level competition. The council was also recognized for its growth in membership and was nominated for the Volunteer McKinney Education Champion Award.

Looking ahead to the 2025-2026 school year, Bato outlined three key priorities: increasing membership, enhancing community engagement, and improving communication. She emphasized the importance of strong training for PTA members, which fosters successful local organizations. This year, the council plans to host a roundtable for local PTAs to share ideas and strengthen connections, while also launching a tiered membership program to encourage broader participation.
