CWD Proposes Enhanced Waste Collection Services and Rate Stability for Forney

Concerns were raised by council members regarding bulk pickup services, particularly complaints from residents about items being left uncollected. CWD acknowledged these issues and proposed increasing the bulk and brush collection limit from four to five cubic yards per week, with an option for additional pickups at an extra charge.

The council also inquired about potential cost increases in the contract. CWD explained that while there is an annual cost adjustment based on compressed natural gas prices, the rate changes have been modest compared to the Consumer Price Index over the past five years.
