Mayor Announces Huber Heights Economic Development Grants and Community Events

The Huber Heights Council Work Session held on August 19, 2025, focused on several key community initiatives and updates. The application period will remain open until October 17, with seven applications already received.

The council also addressed age-friendly initiatives, including plans for a new bus stop at Brant Pike and the Village Apartments, supported by a $20,000 grant from the Dayton Foundation. An application for additional funding from RTA is planned for the upcoming year.

Further updates included a grant received by the fire department for a new rescue tool, valued at nearly $20,000, emphasizing the importance of grant funding in supporting city operations.

The meeting concluded with a reminder about the installation of a new stop sign at Taylorsville and Rustic Woods, effective August 29, and details about the community garage sale scheduled for September 11-14, with sign-ups available until September 8. The council also expressed condolences for the passing of former Mayor Ron Fisher, acknowledging his contributions to the city.
