Planning Commission approves Aamangani Hotel remodel and expansion project

Teton County officials have approved a significant development plan for the Aamangani Hotel, which will undergo a remodel and expansion to enhance its facilities. During the regular meeting on August 19, 2025, the Teton County Planning Commission unanimously endorsed the project, which includes the addition of a presidential suite and an expansion of the spa area.

The proposed changes will add approximately 6,100 square feet for the remodel and 4,400 square feet for the spa expansion. This development is crucial as it aligns with the county's zoning regulations, which require a development plan when commercial projects exceed 3,500 square feet. The Aamangani Hotel, currently a 40-room establishment, is permitted to expand by up to 12 additional units, making this project well within its entitlements.

The planning staff emphasized that the project will not increase the height of the existing structure, ensuring compliance with scenic resource overlay standards.
