City Honors Joe Scamacca for 30 Years of Service as Code Compliance Supervisor

The Margate City Commission held its regular meeting on August 20, 2025, where several key agenda items were addressed, beginning with a heartfelt employee recognition segment. The City Manager initiated the recognition by honoring several employees for their years of dedicated service to the community.

The following employees were acknowledged for their significant milestones: Dennis Hernandez, a police officer, celebrated 35 years of service; Elias Vasquez, also a police officer, marked 25 years; Bradford Borelli, another police officer, reached 10 years; Angelina Galarza, a Code Compliance Officer 1, and Stephen Kanash, a mechanic with public works, both celebrated 5 years of service.

The highlight of the recognition was the presentation of a 30-year service plaque to Joe Scamacca, the Code Compliance Supervisor. Building Director Nixon praised Joe for his three decades of commitment to maintaining community standards and ensuring safety. His dedication, professionalism, and ability to navigate the complexities of code compliance were commended, with Nixon emphasizing the positive impact Joe has had on the community and the example he sets for his colleagues.
