San Antonio Police Arrest Greg Zertucci Following Abatement of Narcotics House

However, further inspection beneath the structure was hindered due to loose dogs on the premises, which had been a recurring issue. During the abatement process on July 29, 2025, five dogs were removed, following an earlier inspection that had identified a total of eight dogs.

Officer Anthony Pena from the San Antonio Police Department's West Safe Unit provided insights into the property's troubled history. He noted that the location had been the subject of numerous neighborhood complaints related to drug use and traffic, with over 30 calls for service reported in the past two years. A particularly alarming incident occurred a year prior, involving a shooting that resulted in a fatality. Officer Pena detailed the arrests made during inspections, including the property owner, Greg Zertucci, who was apprehended on multiple occasions for outstanding warrants and possession of narcotics.

The meeting concluded with a call for further action to ensure the safety of the surrounding community, particularly given the proximity of two schools, Saint Mary Magdalena and Franklin Elementary. The board emphasized the need for continued monitoring and potential further interventions to address the ongoing issues at the property.
