Commissioner Hallassy Tours Recreation Sites Honoring Staff Contributions

The City of San Francisco held a meeting on August 21, 2025, where various topics were discussed, highlighting the contributions of city staff and ongoing projects.

The meeting began with Commissioner Hallassy expressing gratitude towards the team, particularly acknowledging the efforts of staff members who manage different city sites. Hallassy shared insights from a recent tour conducted on August 7, which included visits to five locations.

During the tour, Hallassy recognized several individuals for their dedication and service. At the Keyesar and Goldman Tennis Center, Ron Oliva was noted for his leadership. Selena Boedilla, Nick Anderson, and Daniel Rodriguez were also commended for their roles at these sites.

The tour continued to Silvertree, where Mel Poole, who recently received a 25-year service pin, was highlighted alongside Maria Platzer, Kevin Malane, and Anna Rubinstein. At Margaret Hayward Playground, Rodney Clemente and Stephanie Banks were acknowledged for their contributions.

The final stop was Mission Recreation Center, where Hallassy was particularly impressed by the long-standing service of Rocky Henley, who has been with the department for 31 years, and Mike Bros, who has served for 33 years.
