In a spirited gathering at the Campbell County Schools Board Meeting on November 20, 2023, the achievements of local student-athletes took center stage, celebrating a remarkable year for various sports teams. The Lady Camels cross country team made headlines by clinching the MKAC conference title for the first time in two decades. Leading the charge was Olivia Holbrook, who secured first place, followed closely by teammates Katherine Nikhie and Brooklyn Phelps, who finished third and seventh, respectively. The team also made a strong showing at the state level, placing ninth overall, with Holbrook earning the distinction of an all-state runner.

The accolades continued with the boys cross country team, where Jonathan Christopher and Oscar Van Camper were celebrated for their performances at the regional and state meets. Christopher's impressive eleventh-place finish at the state championship, held at the Kentucky Horse Park, earned him a state medal and a spot on the all-state team.

The Campbell County High School girls soccer team also had a noteworthy season, finishing with a record of 11 wins, 10 losses, and 3 draws. Several players were honored by the tenth region coaches, with Josie Holmes being named co-offensive player of the year and receiving second team East All-State honors. On the boys soccer front, the Camels concluded their season with a record of 11 wins, 10 losses, and 1 draw, earning the title of district tournament runner-up. Players Noah Rittinger and Caden Rose were recognized on the all-region team, with Rose also making the KHFFCA second team All-State.

The celebration wrapped up with the Campbell County High School girls volleyball team, who triumphed in the tenth region tournament championship, defeating Scott in a thrilling match. The team advanced to the state tournament, where standout players were acknowledged for their contributions throughout the season.
