Jacksonville Council Advances FSCJ Training Facility Funding and Use Agreement Discussions

In a recent budget hearing, the City of Jacksonville's Finance Committee discussed critical funding for public safety training facilities, emphasizing the need for a new fire training academy. The committee reviewed a proposal to allocate $3.5 million to Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) for the construction of a modern burn building, which is essential for training the city's firefighters.
