Dairy Area District Pool Set to Reopen for Reservations on September 6

The Derry Area School District is set to reopen its community pool for reservations and open swims starting September 6, 2025, following a comprehensive effort to enhance recreational offerings for local residents. During the board meeting on August 21, 2025, officials announced that the pool will be available for birthday parties and private group bookings, managed by newly appointed Pool Recreation Supervisor Brandon Klimchok.

Open swim hours will be Saturdays from 3 PM to 6 PM and Sundays from 12 PM to 3 PM, with a fee of $5 per person for entry. Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult, who can observe from the upper deck without needing to pay an entry fee. Reservations for pool parties can be made via email at dapool@dsad.us, with specific guidelines and pricing outlined in the district's policy.

The board emphasized the importance of checking the FMX scheduling software for availability, as there may be closures for events or other activities.
