Memorial High School completes flooring and ADA upgrades ahead of school year

Haddonfield School District is making significant strides in facility upgrades as the new school year approaches, with multiple projects nearing completion. During the August 21, 2025, Board of Education meeting, officials reported that flooring and striping work at two schools is expected to be finalized shortly, with the goal of having everything ready for students by the start of the school year.

At Memorial High School, ongoing flooring work is anticipated to wrap up by Tuesday, followed by striping. The district is also addressing accessibility with completed upgrades to the stadium, pending the arrival of a lift scheduled for delivery on September 5. Installation is expected to take just one or two days, ensuring the facility is ready for use soon after.

Another major project, the modernization of the Seawing Elevator, is also progressing. Local inspections are due before August 29, with state inspections following closely behind. Although there were some delays due to last-minute changes from inspectors, officials remain optimistic about meeting the timeline.

In addition to these projects, the district is implementing a robust maintenance system called Operations Hero, which tracks work orders and helps forecast future capital needs. This system is crucial for maintaining the safety and functionality of school facilities, ensuring that they meet educational standards.

The meeting also highlighted ongoing and upcoming referendum projects, including significant improvements to classrooms and infrastructure. With over $20 million in contracts expected to be awarded by December, the district is poised for extensive renovations that will enhance the learning environment for students.
