Mount Olive Township School District celebrated remarkable achievements at the Board of Education meeting on August 25, 2025, highlighting the impressive accomplishments of the Class of 2025. The school’s administrative team presented a detailed overview of the students' successes, showcasing their academic and extracurricular excellence.
Mount Olive High School has made significant strides, now ranking 15th nationally among over 24,000 schools, placing it in the top 6% of high schools in the United States. The school also ranks 80th in New Jersey and 9th in Morris County, a testament to the hard work of students and staff alike. "We are very proud of our students and our staff," said Sue Swastetzky, emphasizing the school's commitment to providing unprecedented opportunities.
The Class of 2025 boasts an impressive 84% of graduates pursuing post-secondary education, with 63% attending four-year colleges. Notable institutions include Johns Hopkins University, Cornell University, and the University of Chicago. Additionally, 24 graduates will enter the workforce, and five will serve in the armed forces.
Academic performance was also a highlight, with 68% of high school juniors passing the math portion of the NJ GPA and an impressive 95% passing the ELA test. The meeting also recognized the achievements of Advanced Placement (AP) students, with 856 students taking exams and nearly 80% scoring a 3 or higher.
Extracurricular activities flourished, with the school's robotics team and drama club receiving accolades, and the Air Force Junior ROTC program achieving a distinguished unit award. The meeting concluded with the recognition of AP Scholars, celebrating students who excelled in their AP courses.
