The first item of action involved approving a right of entry for the Laguna Madre Water District to conduct a topographical survey and clear brush on county property, which passed without opposition.

Subsequent motions included the acquisition of parcels for road widening projects, with Commissioner Lopez proposing a $20,000 acquisition for River Road and Commissioner Benavides proposing a $12,500 acquisition for Brownie Avenue. Both motions were approved unanimously.

The court also considered interlocal agreements for law enforcement and jail services with the city of Starbase. While both agreements were approved, Commissioner Garza expressed concerns regarding the public notice and documentation related to these items, leading to a recorded dissenting vote.
