Boyle County residents will soon have access to vital health screenings as Dr. Stephanie Moon announced the arrival of a mobile exam unit at Seminole Park during the Boyle County Fiscal Court meeting on August 26, 2025. The unit, set to be stationed in the park for eight to nine months, aims to provide free health examinations and gather important health data from the community.
Dr. Moon, who expressed gratitude for the support from local officials, highlighted that the initiative will recruit approximately 855 participants from Boyle and Garrett Counties. The mobile unit will offer a range of services, including cardiovascular screenings using a mobile CT scanner, echocardiograms to assess heart function, and spirometry tests for lung health. Participants will also receive complete blood count results from blood draws.
The open house event will invite community members and media to tour the mobile exam unit and learn more about the health services available. Dr. Moon emphasized the importance of community involvement in this initiative, which aims to enhance public health awareness and address potential health issues early on.
This initiative reflects a collaborative effort between local health officials and the community, aiming to improve health outcomes and provide essential services to residents. The mobile exam unit is expected to play a crucial role in promoting health and wellness in Boyle County over the coming months.
