Their "Waste-Free Wednesdays" initiative encourages composting and minimizes trash output, fostering a culture of sustainability among students.

Redland Middle School, representing Montgomery County, has made notable contributions to environmental awareness through various programs. The school composted nearly 4.5 tons of waste in a single year and has participated in initiatives like the storm drain art program and the county's Paint the Plow contest. Their efforts have resulted in the equivalent of 66,025 trees planted since 2017, showcasing a strong commitment to environmental education and action.
