During the recent City Commission meeting in Richmond, Kentucky, local officials welcomed a new business to the community, highlighting its potential to enhance the local economy and social scene. Carrie Hensley, the city’s small business and economic development coordinator, introduced Bill Daff, the owner of Leaf and Barrel Cigar and Bourbon Lounge, which recently opened its doors at 103 Big Hill Avenue.
Daff shared insights about his establishment, describing it as a unique venue that combines a cigar lounge with a bourbon bar. He emphasized the comfortable seating and a well-stocked humidor, aiming to create a relaxing atmosphere for patrons. The lounge has already hosted its first event, featuring live music, which was well-received by attendees.
Currently, Leaf and Barrel operates from Tuesday to Saturday, with plans to expand its hours to include Sundays during football season. Daff also mentioned that he has another location in Georgetown, Kentucky, indicating his experience in the business.
The introduction of Leaf and Barrel is seen as a positive addition to Richmond, providing residents with a new social space and contributing to the local economy. As the city continues to support small businesses, the community looks forward to the opportunities and experiences that this new lounge will bring.
