Sandoval County Approves Industrial Revenue Bonds for Casillion Corporation Project

Sandoval County is set to experience significant economic growth following the approval of industrial revenue bonds (IRBs) during the recent County Commission meeting. This decision, which received unanimous support from the commissioners, is aimed at facilitating the arrival of Casillion Corporation, a company projected to invest over $100 million and create more than 400 jobs in the area.

The meeting highlighted the collaborative efforts between county officials, state representatives, and Casillion Corporation's leadership, which included commendations for their proactive engagement throughout the negotiation process. The county's Economic Development Secretary, Rob Black, and Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham were noted for their exceptional support, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in securing this deal.

The IRBs will provide tax abatements to Casillion Corporation, allowing the company to benefit from property tax exemptions while generating substantial economic output for Sandoval County.
