Dallas City Council Approves Eminent Domain for Floodway Extension Project

The council unanimously approved an increase in the acquisition area for the Dallas floodway extension project, allowing for the condemnation of approximately 545,477 square feet of vacant land from Barbara N. Odronski and the estate of Joseph C. Andresek. This decision, which will not exceed $2,744,143, is crucial for advancing flood control efforts in the area. Additionally, the council approved a substantial insurance package for the renovation and expansion of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
