Penrod Arts Fair Returns to Newfields Featuring 350 Artists and Live Entertainment

The City Council of Indianapolis recently highlighted two major upcoming events that promise to enrich the community and boost local engagement.

First on the agenda is the 50th Annual Penrod Arts Fair, known as Indy's Nicest Day, set to take place on Saturday, September 6, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Newfields. This year’s fair is expected to be one of the largest single-day art fairs in the nation, featuring over 350 artists, five stages of live entertainment, and a variety of local food vendors, including favorites like Basbo's Pizza and Indy Taco. The event will also include an extensive children's area and participation from more than 50 arts-related nonprofit organizations. Proceeds from the fair will benefit various arts, cultural, and educational initiatives across Central Indiana, making it not just a celebration of creativity but also a significant investment in the community.

In addition to the arts fair, the WWE is set to make a splash in Indianapolis with its first-ever Wrestle Palooza on Saturday, September 20, at Game Bridal Fieldhouse. This event will feature renowned wrestling stars such as John Cena, Cody Rhodes, and Becky Lynch, drawing fans from across the region. Earlier this year, Indianapolis made headlines by hosting the largest Royal Rumble in WWE history, attracting over 70,000 spectators. With Wrestle Palooza and future events like WrestleMania and SummerSlam on the horizon, Indianapolis is solidifying its status as a prime destination for wrestling enthusiasts.
