Texas Psychologists Can Access Free CE Broker Accounts for License Renewals

The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC) recently introduced the CE Broker platform, a web-based software solution designed to streamline the continuing education (CE) process for licensed professionals in the state. During a demonstration held on August 27, 2025, officials highlighted how the platform will assist users in managing their CE requirements efficiently.

The CE Broker platform is accessible via its website or a mobile app, allowing users to create accounts tailored to their specific profession and state regulations. For Texas professionals, the process begins with selecting Texas as their state and entering their license number to ensure compliance with BHEC's requirements. The platform offers a basic free account, which is sufficient for meeting the council's CE obligations.

A key point emphasized during the meeting was the importance of early registration. Starting January 1, 2026, professionals will need to have their CE Broker account set up and their continuing education credits uploaded to renew their licenses. BHEC representatives urged attendees not to wait until the last minute to create their accounts, as this could hinder their ability to renew their licenses on time.

Concerns about the cost of using CE Broker were addressed, with officials confirming that the basic account is indeed free. The data shared with CE Broker remains under BHEC's control, ensuring that users will not incur unexpected fees.
