Rapid City Council Approves Phase 1 and 2 of Catalyst District Project Plan

The Rapid City Legal & Finance Committee convened on August 27, 2025, to discuss several key financial resolutions and project plans impacting the community. Additionally, the committee discussed the fiscal year 2026 appropriation ordinance. A second budget hearing is scheduled for September 5, prompting discussions about whether to move forward with the current item or table it for further consideration. Ultimately, the committee decided to send the item to the council without a recommendation, allowing for potential adjustments during the upcoming budget hearing.
