Topeka County Partners with Beacon to Enhance Historic Building Usage

Shawnee County is set to enhance community engagement and venue utilization following a significant partnership agreement with the Beacon, a local event management company. During the Shawnee County Commission meeting on August 28, 2025, representatives from the Beacon expressed their enthusiasm for managing a historic building that has been underutilized. Courtney Stimmler, one of the owners, highlighted the potential for collaboration, stating that the partnership would allow for better management of the venue and provide an alternative for clients when the Beacon is fully booked.
