Findlay City Council Approves Traffic Signal Improvements and Housing Development Pilot Program

Saratoga Springs City Council is set to enhance public safety and infrastructure following key decisions made during the pre-agenda meeting on August 29, 2025. Among the most significant outcomes was the approval of a bid for traffic signal improvements awarded to Still Sing Electric Incorporated, a move aimed at enhancing road safety for residents.

In addition to traffic improvements, the council discussed a pilot agreement for the Findlay Street housing project, which involves a payment in lieu of taxes (PILOT). The agreement is currently being revised to correct minor errors before final approval. This project is expected to contribute to the city’s housing development efforts, addressing the growing need for affordable housing.

The finance department also reported on several budget amendments and transfers, including a notable $2 million payment to the New York Power Authority for an LED light conversion project initiated in 2021. Public Works Commissioner announced a community meeting scheduled for September 10, where residents will learn about changes to a planned walking path along Grand Avenue. The project will now include a 5-foot concrete walkway, responding to community feedback for safer pedestrian access.
