Red Loaf City Council Approves Parcel Map for Pete Taylor's Industrial Property Split

The Red Bluff City Council made significant strides in urban development during their regular meeting on September 2, 2025, approving a tentative parcel map that will facilitate the division of a property at 141455 Vista Way. The resolution, backed by a unanimous vote, allows property owner Pete Taylor to split one parcel into two, measuring 15,966 square feet and 43,999 square feet, respectively. This decision aligns with the planned industrial zoning requirements and is expected to enhance the area's commercial potential.

In addition to the parcel map approval, the council discussed the Breville River Park Rehabilitation Project, also known as the Splash Park. City Engineer Robin Campan presented the finalized construction documents and requested authorization to solicit bids for the project. The rehabilitation will introduce new amenities, including pickleball courts, an amphitheater, splash pads, and improved pathways. The project is bolstered by $3 million in grants from the state’s rural recreation and tourism program, alongside generous donations from local organizations, which will allow for expanded services within the park.

The council plans to advertise for construction bids in October, strategically timing the solicitation to attract more competitive offers from contractors. The project is set to commence in the spring, ensuring that construction does not interfere with seasonal flooding risks. Additionally, the council approved the pre-purchase of essential park elements, such as a restroom facility and splash pad features, to avoid delays during the construction phase.
